What is Hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy is a subconscious technique used to help make positive changes in your thoughts, feelings, habits and behaviours. It’s a powerful tool that taps into the unconscious mind to help you overcome blocks and create positive, long lasting change.

The unconscious mind runs the show. It’s where all your memories, habits, limiting beliefs and automatic patterns are created and stored.

It will always vary slightly depending on the client and what they want to work on but here’s what you can generally expect from a session.

 FAQ

  • It completely depends on what you’re looking for support with! We can achieve a lot in a single Hypnotherapy session, and I’ll always work to achieve as much as I can in a session. Often people book more sessions to work on further things that come up or to maintain confidence, positive feelings and achieve a success mindset! Some areas may require a few sessions or a long term approach.

    A lot can be done in a single session but more will always be beneficial.

  • You are always in control! One of the most common misconceptions about Hypnotherapy is that you are not in control. The truth is you are always in control, and will never do anything you don’t want to do. You can also not be Hypnotised if you don’t want to.

    You will be aware of your surroundings and you will be conscious. You can also hear and talk. Hypnosis is not a ‘special state’ and is in fact a natural state that we all experience, like when you are daydreaming or just about to fall asleep.

  • No you can’t! You are not unconscious when you are in Hypnosis, and are always in control. You can’t get stuck in Hypnosis because it is a collaborative process which you are actively taking part in, and something you can choose to stop doing at any time.

  • If you’re unsure you can always book a no obligation intro call where we’ll chat about your goals and challenges, and you can ask any questions.

    You may be surprised at how much you can overcome with Hypnotherapy.

  • Yes! A lot of people say “I can’t be hypnotised” but everyone can be hypnotised to some level. It is a collaborative process and requires you to be willing and open to being hypnotised and to actually want the change. You are an active participant in the process of Hypnotherapy and it’s all about following instructions!

  • Yes it does! Online Hypnotherapy is just as effective as in person, because it uses the same approach which can be used remotely via video call or in person. It makes it more accessible as people are able to access Hypnotherapy from the comfort of their own homes.
